EU networks in the Stuttgart Region
Not only is the Stuttgart Region involved in networks at European level, it also contributes to EU networks within the Stuttgart Region and organises its own network.
Network of EU Delegates in the Local Authorities and Administrative Districts in the Stuttgart Region
In order to promote collaboration and the exchange of information with regard to European affairs within the Region, Verband Region Stuttgart and Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart joined forces to create the Network of EU Delegates in the Local Authorities and Administrative Districts. By setting up and facilitating this network, the Region aims among other things to identify those local authorities and administrative districts in the Stuttgart Region that are active in European matters, to maintain these links, exchange experiences and provide information on Europe-related topics. Local authorities with little experience of European affairs can benefit from more experienced stakeholders. The focus is on questions surrounding the topics and organisation of work at European level, where to get information and who the contact persons are, as well as suitable funding programmes and the implementation of projects.
Meetings take place two to three times a year, and provide a forum for exchanging experiences and discussing a special topic. External experts attend some of these meetings.
