    Since our region is unsurpassed with regard to the number of people working in high tech jobs, we consider it crucial to stay abreast of the newest developments in research and technology.

International Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC)

The programme brings together cities and metropolitan regions around the world on issues of sustainable cities and regional development. The VRS was part of the China and Vietnam program areas until 2023. From 2024 to 2025, VRS will be part of the North America Program Area and will work with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (USA) and the City of Rotterdam (Netherlands) on transport planning issues. The partners from Northern Virginia are also to be involved.
