Training for bus drivers using new technology for safe, economic and environmentally friendly driving

The objective of the EU-URBAL Initiative is to support economic co-operation between municipalities and regions in Europe and Latin America. The aim of the project is to draw up a training guide for bus drivers for safe, customer-oriented, economical and environmentally friendly driving. Buses are the most important means of transport the world over, and the Stuttgart Region is a centre for the production of buses. Through the project the importance of the Stuttgart Region's role in basic and on-the-job training can be further substantiated in the field of mobility. The municipalities involved hail from Italy, Brazil, Chile and Colombia.
