REDETRAL - Regional Development and Transport Logistics

Logistics parks (logistics centres, freight villages) are a central element to solve European transport logistics and traffic problems. Therefore this Individual Project deals with bringing together the knowledge about optimal development (best practices) of logistics parks and carries out four pilot development projects of new respectively redesigned parks.The project interlinks the transport and economic problems of regions between old and new EU Member States with regional development.The main objective is the transfer of best practice experience of current Member States to new Member States in using Structural Funds and other European funding sources for development of logistics centres and specific industrial zones both in Objective 1 and Objective 2 regions. The specific contribution of KLOK / Stuttgart Region is a strategy for the marketing of logistics parks.
