Metropolitan cities and European funds to tackle Covid-19 Emergency
The workshop represents an opportunity to share best practices with regard to tackling the pandemic crisis and to reflect on the outlook for future cities, while steering cities in the direction of green digital sustainable growth and relying on European States' cooperation. From an overview of the new European Multiannual Financial Framework (2021-2027) to a debate around the three main challenges cities are called upon to face (social, digital and green), Metropolitan City of Milan, Alda - European Association for local Democracy, Barcelona, Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot and Verband Region Stuttgart will present successful case studies and experiences in European funding management and implementation for cities' economic, sustainable and social reconstruction. Finally, the Metropolitan City of Milan will conclude the meeting by discussing its experience of the Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative and React-EU.
