Substantial trends like digitalisation or new business models will affect all fields of the industrial production especially in the Stuttgart region. Industrial enterprises face the challenge of the technical development of products and processes, which require more and more interdisciplinary solutions. The project thus focuses on strengthening the regional technology transfer for SMEs with emphasis on the transformation induced challenges from increasing cross-linking up to artificial intelligence. For that purpose existing instruments will be refined to help to identify new areas of activities for SMEs. The requisite technology scouting will not only involve transferrable results from research institutions but also innovative solutions from start-ups and large technology enterprises. Experiences will be shared with transfer managers from other regions.

The service is supported by the "Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Wohnungsbau Baden-Württemberg" by means of  "Europäischen Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE)".
