REGINS – Regional Standardised Interfaces for a Better Integration of Regional SMEs in the European Economy

co-funded under INTERREG III C, Regional Framework Operation

The aim of the REGINS project was to identify in a spirit of interregional discourse success factors (benchmarking), primarily in terms of access to SMEs and networking, and to assess the transferability of these factors whilst taking specific regional features into account. In doing so, the project may resort to network structures with varying extents of development. The supra-regional evaluation and benchmark activities were incorporated into a "Good Practice Guide" to provide practicable recommendations for developing thematic networks - especially such networks as are able to support SMEs in the manner referred to above. The topic areas of focus are the automotive sector (including fuel cells and virtual reality), logistics and biotechnology.
