M & Q – Mentoring and Qualification

The project focuses on poorly qualified and unskilled female workers and wants to prevent threatening unemployment by offering professional training. Furthermore, M&Q sensitises enterprises for the potentials of semi-skilled and unskilled employees and makes them aware that it is worthwhile to offer them trainings due to the rising demand for skilled workers. In addition to the qualification programs, the project provides special counselling and support, the so-called mentoring. Thereby, the frequently existing problems involving personal inhibitions and educational barriers appearing in this target group can be overcome. By January 2007, 120 women in Baden-Württemberg will have been received a certificate or a trade diploma by external examination. By doing this, they will be able to better safeguard their jobs and increase their chances on the job market.
