Elmo's-electromobility for cities and regions

funded under FP7 Capacities, Regions of Knowledge

The project aims to introduce electric vehicles in cities and regions. The electric vehicles will be introduced because of CO2. Noise and particular emission freedom are the fastest and largest environment gains in cities as well as in regions which suffer from strong emission pressure. Moreover, the urban mobility is the first application of new technology in this field because of the ease and range-restricted form of electric vehicles.
The project focuses on the following subjects:

1. The project participants represent 3 values chains which need to work together on electric vehicles for ICT, automotive, renewable resources. These value chains expect an interdisciplinary study from the Project `Cross Innovation` and new concepts fro business model such as `Intelligent Control of Renewable Energy Sources and Renewable Energy Mix for Charging Batteries`, `Car-Sharing Models` and `Modal Shift Models for Urban Mobility`, etc.

2. The project is implemented within spatial context in Switzerland, Western France - Northern Wüttermberg - Vorarlberg - Northwest Hungary- Slovenia. Due to having no cross border test before, they want to explore research requirements for standardization and user behavior

3. The bottleneck for a rapid introduction of electric vehicles lies in municipalities and regions, these governments should be trained and informed about necessary preconditions for action the new technology in the urban mobility.
