CARAVEL - Traveling towards a new mobility

co-funded under the CIVITAS II initiative for cleaner and better transport in cities

Based on thematic priorities (6th FP for RTD) as there are 'Sustainable Energy Systems' and 'Sustainable Surface Transport' more than 55 measures follow the priorities of the agenda for urban clean mobility. Involved are 22 partners of the four cities Burgos (Spain), Genoa (Italy), Krakow (Poland) and Stuttgart (Germany). Like the CIVITAS initiative the proposal gives special attention to accessibility and security of public transport systems. In Greater Stuttgart PT security will be improved through a comprehensive strategy (substantially improve the subjective feeling for safety and security focusing on different user groups like young, female and elderly persons).
